Under the scheme, the standard C-3-2 visa fee [approx. INR 1155] is waived for travellers booking through authorised travel agencies, making group travel to the destination more affordable and convenient.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance tourism exchange and encourage organised travel between India and South Korea. The announcement comes amid growing interest among Indian travellers to Korean culture, cuisine, fashion, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.
Eligibility and Requirements
The visa fee exemption applies exclusively to organised group tours and is not available for individual or independent travellers. To qualify, travellers must:
Offer Validity: Until June 30, 2027
Applicable for: Approved organised group tours only
Booking Condition: Reservations must be made through authorised agencies
Not Included: Independent, solo or self-planned travel
For eligible travellers, the waiver helps lower overall trip expenses while streamlining the visa application process through coordinated handling by travel agencies. The policy is also expected to support more competitive group travel packages and encourage increased travel from India across segments such as family holidays, student groups, corporate travel, and cultural exchange programmes.
